Leaving the jungle?
No hard feelings.

Moving Quotchi to the Trash removes the app. A few minutes more removes everything it added, and puts Claude Code back exactly as it was.

1. Undo what Quotchi added (while it’s still installed)

Do this first. These changes live outside the app, so deleting the app doesn’t undo them.

  1. Claude Code status line: Settings → AI tools → Claude → More ways to connect → turn off Show limits in Claude Code’s status line → Remove and restore previous.
  2. Session hooks (Pro): in the same card, turn off Tell me when a session needs me.
  3. Terminal command: Settings → General → Terminal command → Remove.
  4. Open at login: Settings → General → turn off Open at login.
  5. Want a copy of your history? Export it from History before you go.

2. Quit and delete the app

Open the panel → ⋯ → Quit Quotchi. Then drag Quotchi from Applications to the Trash.

3. Remove local data (optional)

Quotchi keeps snapshots, optional history and settings in a few folders in your Library. In Finder choose Go → Go to Folder… (⇧⌘G), paste each path and move it to the Trash. Or run this in Terminal:

rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Quotchi
rm -f ~/Library/Preferences/tools.jungle.quotchi.plist
rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/tools.jungle.quotchi
rm -rf ~/Library/HTTPStorages/tools.jungle.quotchi
rm -rf ~/Library/Group\ Containers/9MRXQW6TN8.tools.jungle.quotchi.shared
rm -rf ~/Library/Containers/tools.jungle.quotchi.widget
rm -f ~/.local/bin/quotchi

Skipped step 1? Then also open ~/.claude/settings.json: if statusLine or hooks point into Application Support/Quotchi, remove those entries. Before every change Quotchi saved your original next to it as settings.json.quotchi-backup- plus a date, so you can also copy that back. Some folders may not exist; that’s fine.

This only removes what Quotchi stored. It never touches your Claude Code, Codex, Claude app or Gemini data, or anything your providers keep.

4. Tidy up permissions

If you used the Claude app or Gemini reader, remove Quotchi from System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility (select it, then −). Notification settings disappear with the app.

Pro & refunds
