About Quotchi

Made by a builder
who hits the limit.

Hi, I’m Thomas. Quotchi is a small, independent Mac app I made because I kept losing my flow to one question: how much room is left?

Why Quotchi exists

I’m a jungle dad of three, and I vibe code like crazy, mostly with Claude Code and sometimes with ChatGPT’s Codex. Between school runs and bedtime stories, my building time comes in bursts, and I burn through my quota fast.

The limits themselves are fair. The guessing is what hurt: starting a big refactor at 90% of a weekly window, or tab-hopping to find out when a limit comes back, right when the kids are finally asleep.

So I made the thing I wanted: one calm glance in the menu bar. It shows Claude Code and Codex usage and reset times, plus Gemini app usage if you use it. It tells you which tool still has room and gives you a heads-up before you run out. And there’s a sleepy sloth to remind you that waiting for a reset is allowed.

Local-first, on purpose

  • No Quotchi account. The app uses your tools’ existing sign-in and never asks you to paste credentials.
  • Your prompts are your business. Quotchi doesn’t collect prompts, responses, project files or transcripts.
  • History stays on your Mac. Optional history and stats are local records you can export or delete, even without Pro.
  • Pay once, if you like. The core features are Free. Pro is a lifetime license, verified locally, with no subscription.

The details are in the privacy guide.
