Install & get started

Open the DMG, drag Quotchi into Applications, and follow the three welcome screens. Our complete installation guide covers your first reading, optional permissions, manual updates and removal.

Compatibility

API-key billing, team administration and every model-specific allowance are outside the supported quota readers. Other versions may be detected without a verified reader. You can keep using your main tool version.

If no limits appear

1. Open Quotchi → Settings → AI tools. Check the tool's connection message and detected version.
2. Sign in through the supported provider client with a subscription account. Quotchi does not ask you to paste credentials.
3. If a version is unsupported or its launcher fails, check your provider's installation. A desktop installation does not prove the CLI works.
4. For Gemini, enable the optional pane reader only if you want it, allow Accessibility access in macOS, and leave one English Usage limits pane open. Refresh within Gemini when its displayed data is old.
5. Choose Refresh in Quotchi. Manual checks have a one-minute cooldown. Failed checks back off; the app shows the next check time. Offline, sleep and hidden tools pause checks.

Old readings stay last known. A reset time passing does not prove that your allowance replenished. Partial readings still show useful facts, while recommendations require complete, current coverage.

Find what you need

• Now: current reported windows, expanded details, alerts and a manual work-block shortcut when local history is enabled.
• Plan: upcoming reported resets across tools, current capacity, and optional experimental pace estimates. Estimate settings and method details expand when needed.
• Stats: Stats in the main navigation, or More → Tokens & models. Enable local stats separately to see available Claude Code and Codex counters. Missing sources stay unavailable; dates and cache traffic remain labeled. Free includes basic totals, a leading model and one Field Notes token card. Pro unlocks Activity, Models, Trends and dashboard customization. Saving aggregate observations is a separate opt-in with pause and deletion controls. Free exports the standard token card. With Pro, create a token, model or activity card in three themes and formats; preview, copy, save a PNG or choose a destination in the native share menu. Nothing is automatically uploaded.
• History: saved charts, compact summaries, period comparisons, work blocks and reset cycles. History requires Pro, is optional and stays on this Mac. Existing records remain exportable and deletable without Pro.

Native widgets are Free and optional. Enable widget sharing in General settings, then add Quotchi from macOS Edit Widgets. macOS controls their refresh timing.

Work-block changes are percentage-point changes in reported allowances; they may include other activity on the same account. Forecasts are conditional and have not established calibrated accuracy.

Unlock Pro

Pro is a lifetime license for up to two Macs, including all future Quotchi Pro updates. Import the signed file supplied with your purchase in Settings → Pro. Keep the original file to restore access. License, activation and seven-day refund details.

For a connection issue or help restoring a license file, email [email protected]. Include the app version, macOS version, provider version and visible connection message. Leave out prompts, account details, tokens and credentials. Email opens your mail app; you choose what to send.
